Pointing to the fact that children can also suffer from Vertigo like adults, the Otorhinolaryngologist Prof. Dr. Arzu TATLIPINAR said: “When children have walking problems, dizziness, vomiting, fear, or sweating problems, it is definitely necessary to check if they have Vertigo. In fact, 5-6 per cent of all children may have this problem.”

The Otorhinolaryngologist Prof. Dr. Arzu TATLIPINAR from the Yeditepe University’s Koşuyolu Hospital draws attention to the fact that Vertigo, known as a problem of adults, can also be seen among children. Children With Migraine History In The Family Are In The Risk Group

Stating that Vertigo, described as imbalance, dizziness, blackout, or light to severe giddiness by patients, can occur depending on many factors, Prof. Dr. Arzu TATLIPINAR added: “There are many reasons for Vertigo among children. Most commonly, it can be seen as unpredictable, suddenly appearing and then disappearing Vertigo attacks. When they suffer from Vertigo attacks, they get afraid. Children usually come to us with a pale face, imbalance, walking problems, sweating, fear or vomiting symptoms. Therefore, families who observe imbalance while walking or frequent falling over with their children must be careful and when these problems are accompanied by sickness and vomiting, they must definitely see a doctor.”
