Pointing to the fact that children can also suffer from Vertigo like adults, the Otorhinolaryngologist Prof. Dr. Arzu TATLIPINAR said: “When children have walking problems, dizziness, vomiting, fear, or sweating problems, it is definitely necessary to check if they have Vertigo. In fact, 5-6 per cent of all children may have this problem.”
The Otorhinolaryngologist Prof. Dr. Arzu TATLIPINAR from the Yeditepe University’s Koşuyolu Hospital draws attention to the fact that Vertigo, known as a problem of adults, can also be seen among children. Stating that 35 per cent of children with Vertigo might develop migraine in the future, Prof. Dr. TATLIPINAR explained the symptoms of Vertigo among children and the precautions that should be taken.
Children With Migraine History In The Family Are In The Risk Group
Stating that Vertigo, described as imbalance, dizziness, blackout, or light to severe giddiness by patients, can occur depending on many factors, Prof. Dr. Arzu TATLIPINAR added: “There are many reasons for Vertigo among children. Most commonly, it can be seen as unpredictable, suddenly appearing and then disappearing Vertigo attacks. This problem is mostly seen among children of parents with migraine issues. 35 per cent of these might have migraine in the future”.
